Vojin Jovanovic

Vojin Jovanovic is a second year PhD student in Programming Methods Laboratory at EPFL supervised by professor Martin Odersky. For the last half a year he has been working on the Actor Migration Kit that allows the smooth migration from Scala Actors to Akka 2.0. In this period he had an opportunity to work on the Akka platform and to gain insight in its advanced architecture and beautiful interface.

Before his PhD he worked as a Java Enterprise developer and a team lead on the Taleo Business Edtion project belonging to Taleo inc. Besides producing large amounts of everyday SQL, JSP and Javascript he has worked on cache re-balancing algorithms, persistent message queuing and the search engine.
